Welcome to the Loma Vista PTO website!

Our mission as a non-profit Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to enrich the experience of students at Loma Vista Elementary School, cultivate a strong sense of community, foster respect, tolerance and compassion, and welcome the benefits of our diversity.

Due to COVID-19, as we start the 20-21 school year we will not be able to offer the events and programs that we have traditionally done in the past. In alignment with local and state mandates, we will work with our school staff and the TUSD to find new and innovative ways to stay engaged with our student and parent community.

Our PTO website, powered by Membership Toolkit, is the central place for information about our programs and events throughout the year. One way you can continue to stay connected with our PTO is for you to register with Membership Toolkit to stay informed about what is happening at Loma Vista.

Our PTO kicks off each school year with our Dollar A Day Fundraiser, where we ask families to donate $180, representing $1 for each day our children are in school.

However, the COVID-19 Pandemic and ongoing changes to public schooling due to this global health crisis is impacting PTO program offerings. While our capacity is limited at the start of this school year, we will continue to do our best to support enrichment of our education programs as things evolve and schools open up.

Your continued support is still needed and we ask that you please consider donating today!

Any amount helps!

COVID-19 UPDATE as of 9/3/2020

The Orange County Health Care Agency has announced that if Orange County continues trending in a positive direction over the next few weeks, PreK/TK-12 schools can reopen in-person instruction (hybrid model) as of Tuesday, September 22.

The District’s in-person schooling (hybrid model) will begin as follows:

  • Elementary schools (grades PreK/TK through 5) – Thursday, September 24
  • Secondary schools (grades 6 through 12) – Tuesday, September 29

This split-start will allow for greater District support as each campus welcomes the return of students.

As a reminder, Tuesday, September 8, is a Professional Development Day for teachers (non-student day) in lieu of the originally scheduled date of Friday, October 2.

Each school will communicate to parents about the pick-up and drop-off procedures, bell schedule and safety protocols.  Principals will also be sending a “welcome back” video to students and parents.

Tustin Unified’s top priority is to balance the education of our students while maintaining the health and safety of students and staff.

Have a restful and safe holiday weekend.
